Digital content design

Handweavers & Spinners Guild Auckland is a community of fibre enthusiasts who love sharing our experiences, knowledge, ideas, successes and challenges in spinning, weaving, knitting, felting, tapestry weaving, crocheting and other fibre crafts. This is one of my favourite projects as I am also a craft lover. This time, I created a logo and visual assets to promote the exhibition, as I also worked for the organisation, making another key visual for their last exhibition in 2022. I have a lot of experience in making digital banners for websites, IG posts and Facebook page banners.

Summary

Mission

To create visual assets that would help the Handweavers & Spinners Guild Auckland share their passion for fibre crafts and promote their exhibition in a visually engaging way. As both a designer and a craft lover, I wanted the visual identity to resonate with the community while reflecting the creativity and skill of the members. My goal was to ensure the designs were not only functional for various digital platforms but also showcased the warmth and craftsmanship of the guild.

My Contributions

I designed a logo and a suite of digital assets, including banners for the website and social media platforms, to promote the exhibition. With tight deadlines for print files, such as the catalogue and billboard design, I prioritised tasks and managed time efficiently to meet the client’s needs. When I received a photo of the billboard in Auckland, I felt incredibly grateful and fulfilled, knowing that my work had made a tangible impact on the community.
