Packaging design for an Italian food importer
Brand identity and packaging design for an Italian food importer brand, De Gustibus. Their products are now available on supermarket shelves in NZ. My role was making a system of the infographics, final tweaks for the logo and packaging layout under the creative director, and final printed file execution. Also, I worked on creating preserved meat and polenta packages under this brand.

Summary
Mission
To create a cohesive and appealing brand identity for De Gustibus, an Italian food importer now bringing their products to supermarket shelves in New Zealand. My goal was to design packaging that was not only functional but also stood out on crowded shelves, making their range of products both recognisable and visually appealing to customers. The challenge was to balance creative flexibility with a consistent, on-brand visual system that conveyed both quality and clarity.
My Contributions
I worked on refining the logo and designing the packaging layout, focusing on creating a flexible system of infographics that conveyed key product information clearly. I also designed specific packaging for preserved meats and polenta. One of the main challenges was developing an icon system to clearly show cheese sizes, while also maintaining colour coordination across the product range. Seeing the final products in-store was a rewarding experience, as it provided the opportunity to reflect on how my designs functioned in real-world settings and how I could evolve them for future projects.
