Digital product design
As one of the digital designers at Dot Loves Data, I partially contributed to the design and development of Community Compass and ANZ The Sauce — two of Dot’s key digital products. Community Compass had outgrown its Power BI platform and needed to be migrated to a purpose-built web platform. I supported the design and development of the digital interface and marketing site. This included shaping the user experience, designing digital assets and preparing digital componentry for development. Working closely with senior creatives and developers, I gained valuable insight into the end-to-end product design process — balancing user needs, brand consistency, and technical feasibility. It was a rewarding experience to see these products come to life and serve real-world communities.

Summary
Mission
To support the transformation of data-driven tools into user-friendly, purpose-built digital products that serve real communities. My aim was to contribute meaningfully to the development of Community Compass and ANZ The Sauce by designing intuitive experiences that respected brand identity while improving usability. As someone new to UX design at the time, I was especially motivated to learn and grow through hands-on collaboration across disciplines.
My Contributions
I joined the project during a pivotal transition—from Power BI to a custom-built web platform—and worked alongside developers, product managers, and senior creatives to shape the digital interface and marketing site. I focused on organising brand assets in Figma, designing UI components and widgets, and preparing them for development. By creating reusable design systems, I helped streamline collaboration and speed up production, gaining valuable experience in the end-to-end product design process.
