Brand identity for a baking and craft bar
Scrummy is a baking and craft bar unit owned by a Japanese couple based in Nagoya, Japan. Their remarkable food and drink and warm hospitality share the freshness from the cafes and restaurants that they experienced in NZ. As a freelance designer, I worked on making a brand identity for their brand. Hearing the story behind it and understanding their concepts and goals, I have delivered some proposals to finalise their logo mark.

Summary
Mission
To capture the heartfelt spirit of Scrummy—a cosy baking and craft bar rooted in warm hospitality and joyful flavours. I set out to reflect the owners’ unique story, blending their Japanese roots with the fresh, relaxed energy they cherished from New Zealand. My goal was to craft a visual identity that felt personal, delightful, and full of the “Yummy Happy” feeling that defines every bite and interaction at Scrummy.
My Contributions
As a freelance designer, I led the brand identity development from discovery to final logo design. Through conversations with the owners, I uncovered their vision and values, which inspired several creative proposals before landing on the final logo mark. I explored visual elements that conveyed warmth, craft, and playfulness—bringing their story to life through thoughtful design choices that mirror the joy and care they put into everything they make.
